Abstract

A system for neutralization of a target aerial vehicle comprises one or more counter-attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and an aerial vehicle capture countermeasure tethering the counter- attack UAV(s) to a structure or ground. The counter-attack UAV(s) are operable to capture and neutralize the target aerial vehicle with the aerial vehicle capture countermeasure (e.g., a net). The system comprises an on-board aerial vehicle detection system, and optionally an external aerial vehicle detection system, each detection system having at least one sensor configured to detect the target aerial vehicle in flight. The counter-attack UAV(s) and the associated detection systems may be autonomously operated for detecting and neutralizing a target aerial vehicle. The aerial vehicle capture countermeasure can be moved from a stowed position to a deployed position in response to coordinated flight of the counter-attack UAV(s). Associated methods and systems are provided.

L'invention concerne un système de neutralisation d'un véhicule aérien cible comprenant un ou plusieurs véhicules aériens sans pilote (UAV) de contre-attaque et une contre-mesure de capture de véhicule aérien reliant le ou les UAV de contre-attaque à une structure ou au sol. Le ou les UAV de contre-attaque peuvent servir à capturer et à neutraliser le véhicule aérien cible au moyen de la contre-mesure de capture de véhicule aérien (par exemple, un filet). Le système comprend un système de détection de véhicule aérien embarqué, et éventuellement un système de détection de véhicule aérien externe, chaque système de détection comportant au moins un capteur conçu pour détecter le véhicule aérien cible en vol. Le ou les UAV de contre-attaque et les systèmes de détection associés peuvent être mis en œuvre de manière autonome pour détecter et neutraliser un véhicule aérien cible. La contre-mesure de capture de véhicule aérien peut être déplacée d'une position rangée à une position déployée en réponse à un vol coordonné du ou des UAV de contre-attaque. L'invention concerne également des procédés et des systèmes associés.
