In an embodiment, a method comprises, in response to receiving a packet that is associated with initiating a client-server session, transmitting a workload request to a workload orchestrator; the workload orchestrator selecting a selected server, from among a plurality of available geographically or logically distributed servers in network edge computing nodes, to process the client-server session; the workload orchestrator transmitting a request to the selected server to create a workload to process the client- server session; receiving, from the workload orchestrator, data identifying the selected server; forwarding one or more other packets associated with the same client-server session to the selected server; wherein the method is performed by one or more computing devices.

Dans un mode de réalisation, la‌ présente invention ‌concerne‌ un procédé qui comprend, en réponse à la réception d'un paquet qui est associé à l'initiation d'une session client-serveur, la transmission d'une demande de charge de travail à un orchestrateur de charge de travail ; la sélection, par l'orchestrateur de charge de travail, d'un serveur sélectionné, parmi une pluralité de serveurs géographiquement ou logiquement distribués disponibles dans des nœuds de calcul de périphérie de réseau, pour traiter la session client-serveur ; la transmission, par l'orchestrateur de charge de travail, d'une demande au serveur sélectionné pour créer une charge de travail afin de traiter la session client-serveur ; la réception, en provenance de l'orchestrateur de charge de travail, de données identifiant le serveur sélectionné ; le transfert d'un ou de plusieurs autres paquets associés à la même session client-serveur au serveur sélectionné ; le procédé étant mis en œuvre par un ou plusieurs dispositifs informatiques.
