Abstract

The present disclosure provides communication apparatus and communication method for channel estimation. The communication apparatus comprises a transmitter, which in operation, transmits a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) to one or more other communication apparatus in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless network, the PPDU including a long training field (LTF) that facilitates the one or more other communication apparatus to estimate respective channels for respective communications with the communication apparatus; and a controller, which in operation, establishes the number of LTF symbols (NLTF) for generating the LTF in the PPDU, wherein the NLTF depends on a maximum value (NSTSMAX) of the number of space-time streams for each resource unit (RU) in the PPDU.

La présente invention concerne un appareil de communication et un procédé de communication pour une estimation de canal. L'appareil de communication comprend un transmetteur, qui, en fonctionnement, transmet une unité de données de protocole de couche physique (PPDU) à un ou plusieurs autres appareils de communication dans un réseau sans fil à entrées multiples et sorties multiples (MIMO), la PPDU comprenant un champ d'apprentissage long (LTF) qui aide le ou les autres appareils de communication à estimer des canaux respectifs pour des communications respectives avec l'appareil de communication; et un dispositif de commande, qui, en fonctionnement, établit le nombre de symboles LTF (NLTF) pour générer le LTF dans la PPDU, le NLTF dépendant d'une valeur maximale (NSTSMAX) du nombre de flux espace-temps pour chaque unité de ressource (RU) dans la PPDU.
