An image decoding method performed by a decoding device according to the present document comprises the steps of: deriving a temporary reference motion vector regarding a current block on the basis of a temporal periphery block included in a reference picture of a current picture including the current block; deriving a binary code indicating a reference motion vector by applying a shifting operation to a binary code indicating the temporary reference motion vector; storing information regarding the binary code indicating the reference motion vector; deriving a motion vector regarding the current block on the basis of the reference motion vector; deriving a predicted block regarding the current block on the basis of the motion vector regarding the current block; and generating a restored picture regarding the current picture on the basis of the predicted block regarding the current block.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de décodage d'image mis en œuvre par un dispositif de décodage, qui comprend les étapes consistant à : dériver un vecteur de mouvement (MV) de référence temporaire concernant un bloc courant sur la base d'un bloc de périphérie temporelle inclus dans une image de référence d'une image courante comprenant le bloc courant ; dériver un code binaire indiquant un vecteur de mouvement de référence par application d'une opération de décalage à un code binaire indiquant le vecteur de mouvement de référence temporaire ; stocker des informations concernant le code binaire indiquant le vecteur de mouvement de référence ; dériver un vecteur de mouvement concernant le bloc courant sur la base du vecteur de mouvement de référence ; dériver un bloc prédit concernant le bloc courant sur la base du vecteur de mouvement concernant le bloc courant ; et générer une image restaurée concernant l'image courante sur la base du bloc prédit concernant le bloc courant.
