The present disclosure pertains to an image processing device, a method, and a program that make it possible to curb delay that could occur in intra-prediction. In determining, respectively, a luminance CU subdivision structure and a chroma CU subdivision structure, an encoding device: removes the CU subdivision structure that has the smallest vertical and/or horizontal size with regard to the chroma CU subdivision structure to determine the chroma CU subdivision structure; encodes an image with the luminance CU subdivision structure and the chroma CU subdivision structure; and generates an encoded stream. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to an image processing device.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de traitement d'images, un procédé et un programme qui permettent de limiter les retards qui pourraient survenir dans l'intraprévision. Lors de la détermination, respectivement, d'une structure de subdivision CU de luminance et d'une structure de subdivision CU de chrominance, un dispositif de codage : supprime la structure de subdivision CU qui a la plus petite taille verticale et/ou horizontale par rapport à la structure de subdivision CU de chrominance pour déterminer la structure de subdivision CU de chrominance; code une image avec la structure de subdivision CU de luminance et la structure de subdivision CU de chrominance; et génère un flux codé.
