A color-fading information generation unit 35a generates color-fading information indicating that the color-fading level of the color filter has exceeded a predetermined level, or indicating a color-fading level of the color filter, on the basis of comparison information indicating the result of the comparison of the color-fading examination reference information with the information to be compared with. A color-fading state of the color filter can be detected with high accuracy.
