Provided are a skeleton model update device, a skeleton model update method, and a program, that allow improvement of the validity of a determination result of the orientation of a skeleton model by using forward and backward reaching inverse kinematics calculation. An orientation data acquisition unit (52) acquires orientation data indicating the orientation of a target node included in a skeleton model having a tree structure. An initial position determination unit (54) determines a position to which the target node is to be moved, on the basis of the orientation data. The initial position determination unit (54) determines the initial position of a parent node of the target node in the forward and backward reaching inverse kinematics calculation, on the basis of a given orientation of the skeleton model and the position to which the target node is to be moved. An orientation update unit (56) updates the orientation of the skeleton model by executing the forward and backward reaching inverse kinematics calculation including determination of a new position of the parent node, on the basis of the initial position of the parent node and the position to which the target node is to be moved.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de mise à jour de modèle de squelette, un procédé de mise à jour de modèle de squelette et un programme, qui permettent d'améliorer la validité d'un résultat de détermination de l'orientation d'un modèle de squelette en utilisant un calcul de cinématique inverse avant et arrière. Une unité d'acquisition de données d'orientation (52) acquiert des données d'orientation indiquant l'orientation d'un nœud cible compris dans un modèle de squelette ayant une structure arborescente. Une unité de détermination de position initiale (54) détermine une position à laquelle le nœud cible doit être déplacé, sur la base des données d'orientation. L'unité de détermination de position initiale (54) détermine la position initiale d'un nœud parent du nœud cible dans le calcul de cinématique inverse avant et arrière, sur la base d'une orientation donnée du modèle de squelette et de la position à laquelle le nœud cible doit être déplacé.
