According to some embodiments, a method for use in a wireless transmitter of a wireless communication network comprises (1) calculating information carrying bits per resource block group (RBG) or physical resource block (PRB) based on a channel condition (e.g., signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR)); (2) estimating the required information bits and number of RBGs based on the desired number of bits to be transmitted and the number of available RBGs; (3) determining the MCS and TBS based on the estimated information bits, the required number of RBGs, number of layers, and RBG size; (4) adjusting the MCS and TBS based on the MCS index and TBS calculated at step 3, the number of required RBGs, and the accumulated information bits calculated from step 2; and (5) determining an MCS state based on the TBS and the accumulated information bits.

L'invention concerne, selon certains modes de réalisation, un procédé destiné à être utilisé dans un émetteur sans fil d'un réseau de communication sans fil, comportant les étapes consistant à (1) calculer des informations transportant des bits par groupe de blocs de ressources (RBG) ou bloc de ressources physiques (PRB) sur la base d'un état de canal (p. ex. rapport signal/brouillage plus bruit (SINR)); (2) estimer les bits d'information requis et le nombre de RBG d'après le nombre souhaité de bits à émettre et le nombre de RBG disponibles; (3) déterminer le MCS et le TBS d'après les bits d'information estimés, le nombre de RBG requis, le nombre de couches, et la taille de RBG; (4) régler le MCS et le TBS d'après l'indice de MCS et le TBS calculés à l'étape 3, le nombre de RBG requis, et les bits d'information cumulés calculés à partir de l'étape 2; et (5) déterminer un état de MCS d'après le TBS et les bits d'information cumulés.
