The invention relates to a method for producing a copolymer of ethylene and a 1,3-diene of formula CH2=CR-CH=CH2, R being a hydrocarbon chain having between 3 and 20 carbon atoms, the ethylene units in the copolymer representing between 50 mol % and 95 mol % of the ethylene units and the units of the 1,3-diene present in the copolymer, and the units of the 1,3-diene with a 1,2 and 3,4 configuration in the copolymer representing more than 50 mol % of the units of the 1,3-diene present in the copolymer, said method comprising the polymerisation of ethylene and of the 1,3-diene in a reactor in the presence of a catalytic system at least containing one metallocene and one organomagnesium compound, ethylene and 1,3-diene being continuously added into the reactor during the polymerisation.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un copolymère d'éthylène et d'un 1,3-diène de formule CH2=CR-CH=CH2, R représentant une chaîne hydrocarbonée ayant 3 à 20 atomes de carbone, les unités éthylène dans le copolymère représentant entre 50% et 95% en moles des unités éthylène et des unités du 1,3-diène présentes dans le copolymère, les unités du 1,3-diène de configuration 1,2 et 3,4 dans le copolymère représentant plus de 50% en mole des unités du 1,3-diène présentes dans le copolymère, lequel procédé comprend la polymérisation d'éthylène et du 1,3-diène dans un réacteur en présence d'un système catalytique à base au moins d'un métallocène et d'un organomagnésien, de l'éthylène et du 1,3-diène étant ajoutés de manière continue dans le réacteur au cours de la polymérisation.
