Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for detecting a clogging of an air filter, comprising the following steps when the air passage section in an intake manifold is greater than a predetermined passage section: - measuring a pressure in the intake manifold at the end of an air intake phase in a cylinder, - measuring a pressure in the intake manifold at the end of the exhaust phase in a cylinder, - determining the clogging of the air filter according to a comparison made between, on the one hand, at least one pressure measured during at least one pressure measurement at the end of the air intake phase in a cylinder and, on the other hand, at least one pressure measured during at least one pressure measurement at the end of the exhaust phase, the filter being considered to be clogged when the comparison provides a value greater than a predetermined value.

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de détection d'un colmatage d'un filtre à air comportant les étapes suivantes lorsque la section de passage d'air dans une tubulure d'admission est supérieure à une section de passage prédéterminée : - mesure d'une pression dans la tubulure d'admission en fin d'une phase d'admission d'air dans un cylindre, - mesure d'une pression dans la tubulure d'admission en fin de phase d'échappement dans un cylindre, - détermination du colmatage du filtre à air selon une comparaison faite entre, d'une part, au moins une pression mesurée au cours d'au moins une mesure de pression en fin de phase d'admission d'air dans un cylindre et, d'autre part, au moins une pression mesurée au cours d'au moins une mesure de pression en fin de phase d'échappement, le filtre étant estimé colmaté lorsque la comparaison donne une valeur supérieure à une valeur prédéterminée.
