The invention is drawn to a method of coating a glass fiber textile comprising the following steps: - Preparing an aqueous coating composition comprising (a) 5 to 95 % by weight, with respect to the total weight of (a) and (b), of a synthetic polymer or oligomer dissolved or dispersed in the aqueous coating composition, and (b) 5 to 95 % by weight, with respect to the total weight of (a) and (b), of a dextrin exhibiting a weight-average molecular weight ranging from 250 000 to 2 000 000 Da and a solubility, measured according to a test A, ranging from 50 to 85 %, - Applying said aqueous coating composition to a glass fiber textile, thereby obtaining a wet-coated glass fiber textile, - Submitting the wet-coated glass fiber textile to a step of drying and/or curing thereby obtaining a glass fiber textile coated with a water- insoluble polymer coating.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de revêtement d’un textile en fibre de verre comprenant les étapes suivantes : - préparation d’une composition de revêtement aqueuse comprenant (a) de 5 à 95 % en poids, par rapport au poids total de (a) et (b), d’un polymère ou d’un oligomère synthétique dissous ou dispersé dans la composition de revêtement aqueuse, et (b) de 5 à 95 % en poids, par rapport au poids total de (a) et (b), d’une dextrine faisant preuve d’un poids moléculaire moyen en poids s’étendant de 250 000 à 2 000 000 Da et une solubilité, mesurée selon un test A, s’étendant de 50 à 85 %, - l’application de ladite composition de revêtement aqueuse à un textile en fibre de verre, obtenant ainsi un textile en fibre de verre revêtu à l’état humide, - la soumission du textile en fibre de verre revêtu à l’état humide à une étape de séchage et/ou de durcissement, ce qui permet d'obtenir un textile en fibre de verre revêtu d’un revêtement polymère insoluble dans l’eau.
