Abstract

A qubit circuit and a method for topological protection of a qubit circuit are described. The circuit comprises a plurality of physical superconducting qubits and a plurality of coupling devices interleaved between pairs of the physical superconducting qubits. The coupling devices are tunable to operate the qubit circuit either in a topological regime or as a series of individual physical qubits. At least two superconducting loops, each one threadable by an external flux, are part of the qubit circuit.

L'invention concerne un circuit à qubits et un procédé de protection topologique d'un circuit à qubits. Le circuit comprend une pluralité de qubits supraconducteurs physiques et une pluralité de dispositifs de couplage entrelacés entre des paires des qubits supraconducteurs physiques. Les dispositifs de couplage sont accordables pour faire fonctionner le circuit de qubits soit dans un régime topologique soit en tant que série de qubits physiques individuels. Au moins deux boucles supraconductrices, chacune pouvant être filetée par un flux externe, font partie du circuit à qubits.
