Methods, systems, and compositions for maintaining functioning drainage blebs to reduce intraocular pressure (IGF) of an eye being treated for glaucoma. The methods, systems, and compositions feature the combination of a minimally invasive micro sclerostomy (MIMS) procedure and the application of beta radiation to a target area. The beta radiation can function to inhibit or reduce the inflammation and/or fibrogenesis that typically occurs after a MIMS procedure and leads to hole and/or bleb failure. By reducing inflammation and/or fibrogenesis, the MIMS holes and/or blebs can remain functioning appropriately.

L'invention concerne des méthodes, des systèmes et des compositions permettant de maintenir le fonctionnement de bulles filtrantes de drainage pour réduire la pression intraoculaire (PIO) d'un œil traité pour le glaucome. Les méthodes, systèmes et compositions comprennent l'association d'une intervention de micro-sclérostomie minimalement invasive (MIMS) et l'application d'un rayonnement bêta au niveau d'une zone cible. Le rayonnement bêta peut servir à inhiber ou à réduire l'inflammation et/ou la fibrogenèse qui se produit généralement après une intervention de MIMS et mène à un trou et/ou à une rupture de bulbe filtrante. En réduisant l'inflammation et/ou la fibrogenèse, les trous et/ou les bulbes filtrantes de MIMS peuvent continuer à fonctionner de manière appropriée.
