Abstract

A network device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a new radio NB (gNB), or other network component) can process or generate a one-step paging reception or a two-step paging reception based on being in a sub-state of an idle mode. A UE can enter into an idle state to enable a decreased power consumption of battery, and further reduce power consumption by only monitoring a PDCCH in response to operating in a camped on any cell state, and eliminate processing a paging message when in the camped on any cell state.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de réseau (par exemple, un équipement utilisateur (UE), un NB New Radio (gNB), ou un autre composant de réseau) apte à traiter ou générer une réception de message de radiomessagerie en une seule étape, ou en deux étapes, selon que le dispositif de réseau est dans un sous-état d'un mode de veille. Un UE peut entrer dans un état de veille afin d’économiser l’énergie de la batterie, et la consommation d'énergie peut être encore réduite et le traitement d'un message de radiomessagerie peut être supprimé si un PDCCH est surveillé uniquement lorsqu’il fonctionne campé dans un état de cellule particulier.
