Systems and methods of providing support for MT EDT are described. System information or an RRC paging message sent to the UE from the eNB indicates DL EDT data is to be transmitted to the UE. A random access preamble transmitted on a PRACH is a dedicated preamble for DL EDT data transmission dependent on the CE level or selected from a pool of EDT preambles. The RAR transmitted in response includes a UL grant having UL resources for transmission of a service request. The RRC EDT Request sent in response indicates that the UE has activated AS security. The RRC message transmitted by the eNB after the indication of AS security activation depends on whether the UE is able to receive the DL EDT data, based on the CE level, and whether the UE is able to avoid acknowledgment of the DL EDT data if sent.

L'invention concerne un système et des procédés de fourniture d'une prise en charge d'un EDT MT. Des informations système ou un message de radiomessagerie RRC envoyé à l'UE à partir de l'eNB indiquent des données EDT DL à transmettre à l'UE. Un préambule d'accès aléatoire transmis sur un PRACH est un préambule dédié pour une transmission de données EDT DL dépendant du niveau CE ou sélectionné dans un groupe de préambules EDT. La RAR transmise en réponse comprend une autorisation UL ayant des ressources UL permettant la transmission d'une demande de service. La demande d'EDT RRC envoyée en réponse indique que l'UE a activé la sécurité AS. Le message RRC transmis par l'eNB après l'indication de l'activation de sécurité AS dépend de si l'UE est capable de recevoir les données EDT DL, sur la base du niveau CE, et de si l'équipement utilisateur est capable d'éviter un accusé de réception des données EDT DL s'il est envoyé.
