A fiber optic cable includes a cable jacket having an outer surface defined by a cable jacket outer diameter JOD and an inner surface defined by a cable jacket inner diameter JID; a plurality N of optical fibers, where N ≥ 4, contained within the cable jacket and positioned a distance away from the cable jacket inner diameter, with each optical fiber having a core, a cladding surrounding the core, and at least one coating surrounding the core with the at least one coating having an outer coating diameter less than or equal to about 200 microns and wherein the cable jacket outer diameter JOD is less than or equal to 1 mm.

La présente invention porte sur un câble à fibres optiques comprenant : une gaine de câble présentant une surface externe délimitée par un diamètre externe de gaine de câble JOD et une surface interne délimitée par un diamètre interne de gaine de câble JID ; une pluralité N de fibres optiques, où N ≥ 4, contenues dans la gaine de câble et positionnées à une certaine distance du diamètre interne de la gaine de câble, chaque fibre optique ayant une âme, une gaine entourant l'âme, et au moins un revêtement entourant l'âme, ledit revêtement ayant un diamètre de revêtement externe inférieur ou égal à environ 200 microns, et le diamètre externe de la gaine de câble JOD étant inférieur ou égal à 1 mm.
