A suspension assembly (46) for a cycle having improved stability includes a steering fork (30) having a first arm (32) and a second arm (33), each of the first arm and the second arm having a fixed pivot (40, 140) and a shock pivot (42,142), the space between the first arm and the second arm defining a wheel opening (61). A shock link (50) has a shock link fixed pivot (52) and a shock link floating pivot (54). A shock absorber (44) has a shock gas spring (92) comprising a shock spring body (88) and a shock gas piston (81) having a first gas piston area (110). A spring unit (48) has a spring gas spring (192) comprising a spring body (188) and a spring gas piston (181) having a second gas piston area (111). The first gas piston area is not equal to the second gas piston area.

Selon la présente invention, un ensemble de suspension (46) pour un cycle présentant une stabilité améliorée comporte une fourche de direction (30) présentant un premier bras (32) et un second bras (33), chacun du premier bras et du second bras présentant un pivot fixe (40, 140) et un pivot antichoc (42, 142), l'espace entre le premier bras et le second bras définissant une ouverture de roue (61). Une liaison antichoc (50) présente un pivot de liaison antichoc fixe (52) et un pivot de liaison antichoc flottant (54). Un amortisseur (44) présente un ressort à gaz antichoc (92) comprenant un corps de ressort antichoc (88) et un piston à gaz antichoc (81) présentant une première zone de piston à gaz (110). Une unité de ressort (48) présente un ressort à gaz à ressort (192) comprenant un corps de ressort (188) et un piston à gaz à ressort (181) présentant une seconde zone de piston à gaz (111). La première zone de piston à gaz n'est pas égale à la seconde zone de piston à gaz.
