In an example, a method comprises receiving, by a processor, object model data, the object model data describing a first object to be generated in additive manufacturing. A candidate virtual build volume indicating a possible placement and orientation of the first object in object generation may be determined and the candidate virtual build volume may be evaluated. The evaluation may comprise determining if at least part of the first object is to span a boundary between a first print agent applicator path and a second print agent applicator path during object generation.

Dans un exemple, un procédé consiste à recevoir, au moyen d'au moins un processeur, des données de modèle d'objet, les données de modèle d'objet décrivant au moins une partie d'un objet devant être généré dans la fabrication additive. Un volume de construction virtuel candidat indiquant un placement et une orientation possibles du premier objet dans la génération d'objet peut être déterminé et le volume de construction virtuel candidat peut être évalué. L'évaluation peut consister à déterminer si au moins une partie du premier objet doit couvrir une limite entre un premier trajet d'applicateur d'agent d'impression et un second trajet d'applicateur d'agent d'impression pendant la génération de l'objet.
