The present invention is an electrode (10) for lithium ion secondary batteries that is provided with a current collector (20), an electrode active material layer (30) provided on the surface of the current collector (20), and an insulating resin layer (40), wherein the insulating resin layer (40) is positioned so as to be adjacent to an end section (31) of the electrode active material layer (30) and cover said end section (31). The electrode (10) for lithium ion secondary batteries is additionally provided with: a flat electrode section (11) on the surface on which the electrode active material layer (30) and the insulating resin layer (40) are provided; and a raised electrode section (12) that is positioned further toward the end section side than the flat electrode section (11) and that is thicker than the flat electrode section (11). The ratio (T2/T1) of the thickness (T2) of the raised electrode section (12) with respect to the thickness (T1) of the flat electrode section (11) is less than 1.25, and the difference in thickness represented by T2 – T1 is less than 15 µm. A lithium ion secondary battery according to the present invention is provided with the electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries of the present invention. The present invention makes it possible to provide an electrode for lithium ion secondary batteries capable of prolonging the service life of a battery, and a lithium ion secondary battery provided with the electrode.

La présente invention est une électrode (10) pour des batteries secondaires au lithium-ion qui comprend un collecteur de courant (20), une couche de matériau actif d'électrode (30) disposée sur la surface du collecteur de courant (20), et une couche de résine isolante (40), la couche de résine isolante (40) étant positionnée de manière à être adjacente à une section d'extrémité (31) de la couche de matériau actif d'électrode (30) et recouvrant ladite section d'extrémité (31). 本発明は、集電体(20)と集電体(20)の表面上に設けられる電極活物質層(30)及び絶縁樹脂層(40)とを備え、絶縁樹脂層(40)が、電極活物質層(30)の端部(31)に隣接し、かつ該端部(31)を覆うように配置されるリチウムイオン二次電池用電極(10)であって、リチウムイオン二次電池用電極(10)は、電極活物質層(30)及び絶縁樹脂層(70)が設けられる表面において電極平坦部(11)と電極平坦部(11)よりも端部側に配置され、かつ電極平坦部(11)より肉厚な電極盛り上がり部(12)とを備え、電極平坦部(11)の厚さ(T1)に対する、電極盛り上がり部(12)の厚さ(T2)の比(T2/T1)が1.25未満であり、かつT2-T1で表される厚さ差が15μm未満である。また、本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池は本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池用電極を備える。本発明によれば、電池の寿命を長くすることができるリチウムイオン二次電池用電極及びその電極を備えたリチウムイオン二次電池を提供することができる。
