The objective of the present invention is to provide a thermal transfer sheet with which it is possible to suppress printing loss on a transfer layer being transferred to, and with which it is possible to manufacture a printed object having good gloss. In a thermal transfer sheet 100 in which a back surface layer 20 is provided on one surface of a base material 1: a transfer layer 10 is provided on the other surface of the base material 1; the transfer layer 10 has a single layer structure or a laminated structure including a protective layer 5; the back surface layer 20 contains a resin component including Si in the structure thereof; and when the thermal transfer sheet is cut to a size of 30 mm × 230 mm, 5 mm at both edges of the 230 mm width of the cut out thermal transfer sheet is fixed to a fixing base, and a rubbing test is performed by applying a load of 1.96 N to a white cotton rubbing cloth impregnated with methyl ethyl ketone and causing the same to reciprocate 100 times across a 30 mm × 220 mm region of the back surface layer, in the 220 mm width direction, with a speed of 30 reciprocations per minute, the mass reduction ratio of the thermal transfer sheet before and after the test is at most equal to 1%.

L'objectif de la présente invention est de réaliser une feuille de transfert thermique avec laquelle il est possible de limiter les pertes d'impression sur une couche de transfert vers laquelle a lieu le transfert, et avec laquelle il est possible de fabriquer un objet imprimé présentant un brillant satisfaisant. Dans une feuille 100 de transfert thermique où une couche 20 de surface de dos est placée sur une surface d'un matériau 1 de base: une couche 10 de transfert est placée sur l'autre surface du matériau 1 de base; la couche 10 de transfert présente une structure monocouche ou une structure stratifiée comprenant une couche protectrice 5; la couche 20 de surface de dos contient un composant de résine comprenant du Si dans sa structure; et lorsque la feuille de transfert thermique est découpée à une taille de 30 mm × 230 mm, 5 mm sur les deux bords de la largeur de 230 mm de la feuille de transfert thermique découpée sont fixés à une base de fixation, et un test de frottement est effectué en appliquant une charge de 1,96 N à un tissu de frottement en coton blanc imprégné de méthyléthylcétone et en le faisant aller et venir 100 fois à travers une région de 30 mm × 220 mm de la couche de surface de dos, dans le sens de la largeur de 220 mm, avec une vitesse de 30 allers-retours par minute, le taux de réduction entre la masse de la feuille de transfert thermique avant et après le test est au plus égal à 1%.
