A quenching device for a rack bar having a rack formed within a partial section of an entire length of a hollow shaft member includes a plurality of binding jigs which binds the rack bar along the partial section and from a radial direction of the rack bar. Each of the binding jigs includes a spraying portion, and the spraying portion of each of the plurality of binding jigs sprays a coolant uniformly to a plurality of annular regions on an outer peripheral surface of the rack bar within the partial section, each of the annular regions extending around the outer peripheral surface and including a corresponding tooth bottom of the rack. By spraying the coolant uniformly thereto, irregularity of a tooth pitch of the rack due to quenching distortion is suppressed, so that an accuracy of the rack bar is improved.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de trempe destiné à une barre de crémaillère présentant une crémaillère formée au sein d'une section partielle d'une longueur entière d'un élément d'arbre creux, comprenant une pluralité de gabarits de liaison qui se lient à la barre de crémaillère le long de la section partielle et à partir d'une direction radiale de la barre de crémaillère. Chacun des gabarits de liaison comprend une partie de pulvérisation, et la partie de pulvérisation de chacun de la pluralité de gabarits de liaison pulvérise un agent de refroidissement uniformément sur une pluralité de régions annulaires sur une surface périphérique externe de la barre de crémaillère au sein de la section partielle, chacune des régions annulaires s'étendant autour de la surface périphérique externe et comprenant un fond de dent correspondant de la crémaillère. Par pulvérisation du liquide de refroidissement uniformément sur ce dernier, une irrégularité d'un pas de dent de la crémaillère due à une distorsion de trempe est supprimée, ce qui permet d'améliorer une précision de la barre de crémaillère.
