The present invention is an ECU (30) which performs purge control and is used for an exhaust purging system provided with: a NOx catalyst (23) provided in an exhaust passage (20); and a second composite sensor (26) which detects an air-fuel ratio on the downstream side of the NOx catalyst (23). An integrated value (T) of reductants added to the NOx catalyst (23) from the start of the purge control is calculated. Furthermore, it is determined that the integrated value (T) calculated has exceeded an end determination value (S). It is determined that the air-fuel ratio detected by the second composite sensor (26) has fallen below a predetermined value after the start of the purge control. The purge control ends at an earlier one of a point in time of determination that the integrated value (T) has exceeded the end determination value (S) and a point in time of determination that the air-fuel ratio has fallen below the predetermined value.

La présente invention est une ECU (30) qui effectue une commande de purge et qui est utilisée pour un système de purge de gaz d'échappement comportant : un catalyseur de NOx (23) disposé dans un passage d'échappement (20); et un second capteur composite (26) qui détecte un rapport air/combustible sur le côté aval du catalyseur de NOx (23). Une valeur intégrée (T) de réducteurs ajoutés au catalyseur de NOx (23) à partir du début de la commande de purge est calculée. En outre, il est déterminé si la valeur intégrée (T) calculée a dépassé une valeur de détermination de fin (S). Il est déterminé si le rapport air/combustible détecté par le second capteur composite (26) a chuté au-dessous d'une valeur prédéterminée après le début de la commande de purge. La commande de purge prend fin à l'instant le plus tôt entre un point dans le temps de détermination où la valeur intégrée (T) a dépassé la valeur de détermination de fin (S) et un point dans le temps de détermination où le rapport air-carburant a chuté au-dessous de la valeur prédéterminée.

排気通路(20)に設けられたNOx触媒(23)と、NOx触媒(23)の下流側における空燃比を検出する第2複合センサ(26)と、を備えた排気浄化システムに用いられ、パージ制御を実行するECU(30)である。パージ制御開始時からNOx触媒(23)に投入された還元剤の積算値(T)を算出する。そして、算出された積算値(T)が終了判定値(S)を超えたことを判定する。パージ制御の開始後に、第2複合センサ(26)で検出された空燃比が所定値を下回ったことを判定する。積算値(T)が終了判定値(S)を超えたことの判定と、空燃比が所定値を下回ったことの判定とのいずれか早い時点で、パージ制御を終了する。
