A motor drive device (100) is equipped with: a booster circuit (3) that has at least one first switching element, and that converts AC voltage output from an AC power supply (1) to DC voltage while boosting the voltage; a capacitor (4) that smooths the DC voltage output from the booster circuit (3); and an inverter circuit (18) that has a plurality of second switching elements, and that converts power accumulated in the capacitor (4) to AC power and supplies the AC power to a motor (500). In the period from the initiation of self-regulated operation of the motor (500) to the point when the rotational speed of the motor (500) reaches a constant speed, the motor drive device (100) reduces the number of switching operations of the second switching elements to a prescribed number of switching operations.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'entraînement de moteur (100) équipé : d'un circuit amplificateur (3) qui a au moins un premier élément de commutation, et qui convertit une sortie de tension alternative d'une alimentation électrique en courant alternatif (1) en tension continue tout en amplifiant la tension ; d'un condensateur (4) qui lisse la sortie de tension continue du circuit amplificateur (3) ; et d'un circuit onduleur (18) qui a une pluralité de seconds éléments de commutation, et qui convertit le courant accumulé dans le condensateur (4) en courant alternatif et fournit le courant alternatif à un moteur (500). Dans la période allant de l'initiation d'un fonctionnement auto-régulé du moteur (500) au moment où la vitesse de rotation du moteur (500) atteint une vitesse constante, le dispositif d'entraînement de moteur (100) réduit le nombre d'opérations de commutation des seconds éléments de commutation à un nombre prescrit d'opérations de commutation.
