Methods, particularly automated methods, are provided, as well as 3D-printed composite and hollow objects and 3D-printing systems for printing them. Methods comprise deriving a central line of a hollow 3D object model, calculating reference point(s) and/or line(s) along an inner surface of the hollow 3D object model, and filling the hollow 3D object model with material that comprises a thread defined with respect to the central line and the reference point(s) and/or line(s) and with filling material surrounding the thread. The support construction thus formed may be removed from the 3D object by pulling on the thread, extracting it and the surrounding support filling from the hollow object, thus enabling 3D-printing of convoluted or elongated hollow objects and objects with narrow openings. The parameters of the thread, such as type of curve and thickness, are selected to ensure thread extraction without risk of tearing or knotting the thread.

L'invention concerne des procédés, notamment des procédés automatisés, ainsi que des objets composites et creux imprimés en 3D et des systèmes d'impression 3D destiné à les imprimer. Les procédés consistent à dériver une ligne centrale d'un modèle d'objet 3D creux, à calculer un(e) ou plusieurs points et/ou lignes de référence le long d'une surface intérieure du modèle d'objet 3D creux, et à remplir le modèle d'objet 3D creux avec un matériau qui comprend un fil défini par rapport à la ligne centrale et auxdit(e)s points et/ou lignes de référence et au matériau de remplissage entourant le fil. La construction support ainsi formée peut être retirée de l'objet 3D en tirant sur le fil, en extrayant celui-ci ainsi que le remplissage support environnant de l'objet creux, permettant ainsi l'impression 3D d'objets creux convolutés ou allongés et d'objets ayant des ouvertures étroites. Les paramètres du fil, tels que le type de courbe et l'épaisseur, sont sélectionnés pour assurer une extraction du fil sans risque de déchirure ou de nouage du fil.
