Provided are: a positive electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery with high capacity and outstanding charge/discharge cycle properties; and a method for manufacturing same. Also provided is a method for manufacturing a positive electrode material with good producibility. This positive electrode material for a lithium ion secondary battery comprises a crystal represented by a crystal structure with an R-3m space group, and comprises a first region and a second region which abuts at least part of the outer side of the first region and the outer edge of which coincides with the surface of first particles. The ratio of the number of atoms of manganese to that of cobalt in the first region is less than the ratio of the number of atoms of manganese to that of cobalt in the second region, and the ratio of the number of atoms of fluorine to that of oxygen in the first region is less than the ratio of the number of atoms of fluorine to that of oxygen in the second region.

La présente invention concerne : un matériau d'électrode positive pour une batterie secondaire au lithium ayant une capacité élevée et des propriétés de cycle de charge/décharge exceptionnelles ; et un procédé de fabrication de celui-ci. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'un matériau d'électrode positive ayant une bonne aptitude à la fabrication. Ce matériau d'électrode positive pour une batterie secondaire au lithium comprend un cristal représenté par une structure cristalline ayant un groupe spatial R-3 m, et comprend une première région et une seconde région qui vient en butée contre au moins une partie du côté externe de la première région et dont le bord externe coïncide avec la surface de premières particules. Le rapport entre le nombre d'atomes de manganèse et le nombre d'atomes de cobalt dans la première région est inférieur au rapport entre le nombre d'atomes de manganèse et le nombre d'atomes de cobalt dans la seconde région, et le rapport entre le nombre d'atomes de fluor et le nombre d'atomes d'oxygène dans la première région est inférieur au rapport entre le nombre d'atomes de fluor et le nombre d'atomes d'oxygène dans la seconde région.
