Abstract

A pollution-control device (DD) is fitted to an exhaust line (LE) of a vehicle with a petrol engine (MT) and comprises: a first catalytic converter (CT1) of the three-way type, connected to an upstream part (P1) of the exhaust line (LE) and to an outlet of the combustion engine (MT), and treating the nitrogen oxides produced, – a particulate filter (FP) coupled to the first catalytic converter (CT1) and filtering, by internal storage, the particles of soot produced, and – a second catalytic converter (CT2), of the three-way type, interposed between the particulate filter (FP) and a downstream part (P2) of the exhaust line (LE) and storing, during a phase of regeneration of the particulate filter (FP), oxygen that comes from the combustion engine (MT) and that has passed through the first catalytic converter (CT1) and the particulate filter (FP) without having been completely consumed, so as to treat the nitrogen oxides not treated by the first catalytic converter (CT1).

Un dispositif de dépollution (DD) équipe une ligne d'échappement (LE) d'un véhicule à moteur à essence (MT) et comprend : - un premier catalyseur (CT1) de type trois-voies, connecté à une partie amont (P1) de la ligne d'échappement (LE) et à une sortie du moteur thermique (MT), et traitant des oxydes d'azote produits, - un filtre à particules (FP) couplé au premier catalyseur (CT1) et filtrant par stockage interne des particules de suie produites, et - un deuxième catalyseur (CT2) de type trois-voies, intercalé entre le filtre à particules (FP) et une partie aval (P2) de la ligne d'échappement (LE), et stockant, pendant une phase de régénération du filtre à particules (FP), de l'oxygène issu du moteur thermique (MT) et ayant traversé les premier catalyseur (CT1) et filtre à particules (FP) sans avoir été complètement consommé, afin de traiter des oxydes d'azote non traités par le premier catalyseur (CT1).
