The invention relates to a unit for the pretreatment of grains, and in particular cereal grains such as rice, comprising a chamber (1) for baking the grains, a microperforated basket (2) positioned within the chamber (1) and arranged to allow the passage of steam and to prevent direct contact of the cereals with the chamber (1), the unit further comprising a source of vacuum and a source of steam that are connected to said chamber (1), characterized in that it comprises at least one steam diffusion duct opening into a space (3) made between the wall of said chamber (1) and the wall of the basket (2), and at least one microperforated duct positioned in said basket (2), the distance measured in the transverse plane between the inner surface of said basket (2) and the outer surface of said at least one microperforated duct being less than or equal to 600 millimeters.

L'invention concerne une installation pour le prétraitement de grains, et notamment des grains de céréales tel que du riz, comprenant une enceinte (1) d'étuvage des grains, un panier (2) micro-perforée disposé au sein de l'enceinte (1) et arrangé pour permettre le passage de la vapeur et pour empêcher le contact direct des céréales avec l'enceinte (1), l'installation comportant en outre une source de dépression et une source de vapeur raccordées à ladite enceinte (1), caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte au moins un conduit de diffusion de la vapeur débouchant, dans un espace (3) ménagé entre la paroi de ladite enceinte (1) et la paroi du panier (2), et au moins un conduit micro-perforé positionné dans ledit panier (2), la distance mesurée dans le plan transversal entre la surface intérieure dudit panier (2) et la surface extérieure dudit au moins un conduit micro-perforé étant inférieure ou égale à 600 millimètres.
