There is provided a solution for improving transmission opportunities in a wireless network. According to an aspect, a method comprises: configuring a first radio beam pair and at least a second radio beam pair to a communication connection, wherein the first radio beam pair comprises a first transmission radio beam having a first transmission direction and the second radio beam pair comprises a second transmission radio beam having a second transmission direction different from the first transmission direction; triggering channel contention to transmit at least one message from the apparatus and performing radio channel sensing for both the first transmission radio beam and the second transmission radio beam during the channel contention; acquiring a transmission opportunity for the apparatus in response to detecting that a radio channel is available for at least one of the first transmission radio beam and the second transmission radio beam; and causing transmission of the at least one message during the transmission opportunity by using the at least one of the first transmission radio beam and the second transmission radio beam.

L'invention porte sur une solution pouvant améliorer des opportunités de transmission dans un réseau sans fil. Selon un aspect, un procédé consiste à : configurer une première paire de faisceaux hertziens et au moins une seconde paire de faisceaux hertziens par rapport à une connexion de communication, la première paire de faisceaux hertziens comprenant un premier faisceau hertzien de transmission présentant une première direction de transmission, et la seconde paire de faisceaux hertziens comprenant un second faisceau hertzien de transmission présentant une seconde direction de transmission différente de la première direction de transmission; déclencher une contention de canal pour transmettre au moins un message depuis l'appareil et effectuer une détection de canal radio pour le premier faisceau hertzien de transmission et le second faisceau hertzien de transmission au cours de la contention de canal; acquérir une opportunité de transmission pour l'appareil lorsqu'il est détecté qu'un canal radio est disponible pour le premier faisceau hertzien de transmission et/ou le second faisceau hertzien de transmission; et déclemcher la transmission dudit au moins un message au cours de l'opportunité de transmission en utilisant le premier faisceau hertzien de transmission et/ou le second faisceau hertzien de transmission.
