An aspects of the invention relates to the use of a marker set comprising at least three substances chosen from the group consisting of alanine, choline, creatine, creatinine, dimethyl sulfone, dimethylamine, glucose, glycerol, isoleucine, leucine, myo-inositol, N,N-dimethylglycine, and valine in an in vitro method for calculating a glomerular filtration rate of an individual and/or in an in vitro method for providing an indicator of a pathophysiologic factor of an impaired glomerular filtration rate. Another aspect of the invention relates to a method for calculating a glomerular filtration rate of an individual based on such a marker set.

Un aspect de l'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un ensemble de marqueurs comprenant au moins trois substances choisies dans le groupe constitué par l'alanine, la choline, la créatine, la créatinine, la diméthyl sulfone, la diméthylamine, le glucose, le glycérol, l'isoleucine, la leucine, le myo-inositol, la N,N-diméthylglycine et la valine dans un procédé in vitro pour calculer un taux de filtration glomérulaire d'un individu et/ou dans un procédé in vitro pour fournir un indicateur d'un facteur pathophysiologique d'un taux de filtration glomérulaire altéré. Un autre aspect de l'invention concerne un procédé de calcul d'un taux de filtration glomérulaire d'un individu sur la base d'un tel ensemble de marqueurs.
