The invention relates to an abrasive wateqet cutting system (2) including: an abrasive watcrjct cutting head (14) comprising: a nozzle (16) adapted for guiding an abrasive wateqet (6) intended to cut a metallic workpiece (4); an abrasive wateqet flow direction (12); a monitoring device (28) including at least an upstream sensor and a downstream sensor which are distributed along the abrasive wateqet flow direction (12) downstream the inlet end of the nozzle (16), and which are adapted for measuring at least one wear characteristic of the nozzle (16) or a characteristic of the abrasive wateqet (6), or an alignment characteristic of the nozzle (16) with an orifice (18). The sensors comprise a set of accelerometers (40; 42) and a set of microphones (44; 46). The wear monitoring device (28) being configured to monitor at least one characteristic of the abrasive wateqet cutting system (2) through at least the upstream sensor and the downstream sensor.

L'invention concerne un système de coupe à jet d'eau abrasif (2) incluant : une tête de coupe à jet d'eau abrasif (14) comprenant : une buse (16) adaptée à guider un jet d'eau abrasif (6) destiné à couper une pièce métallique (4) ; une direction d'écoulement de jet d'eau abrasif (12) ; un dispositif de surveillance (28) incluant au moins un capteur amont et un capteur aval qui sont répartis le long de la direction d'écoulement de jet d'eau abrasif (12) en aval de l'extrémité d'entrée de la buse (16) et qui sont adaptés à mesurer au moins une caractéristique d'usure de la buse (16) ou une caractéristique du jet d'eau abrasif (6), ou une caractéristique d'alignement de la buse (16) avec un orifice (18). Les capteurs comprennent un ensemble d'accéléromètres (40 ; 42) et un ensemble de microphones (44 ; 46). Le dispositif de surveillance d'usure (28) est configuré pour surveiller au moins une caractéristique du système de coupe à jet d'eau abrasif (2) à travers au moins le capteur amont et le capteur aval.
