Techniques for fast adaptation of PDCCH monitoring by a UE via L1 signaling in order to reduce power consumption by the UE are disclosed. A base station sends first configuration information to a user equipment (UE) via higher layer signaling (e.g. RRC) to configure downlink control channel monitoring by the UE. Thereafter, the base station may send downlink control information to the UE via L1 signaling to adapt the PDCCH monitoring by the 6 UE. The downlink control information may temporarily override or modify the parameters for PDCCH monitoring set by higher layers. The downlink control information may be send in an existing downlink control message or in a new downlink control message.

L'invention concerne des procédés pour l'adaptation rapide d'une surveillance de PDCCH par un UE au moyen d'une signalisation L1, afin de réduire la consommation d'énergie de l'UE. Une station de base envoie des premières informations de configuration à un équipement utilisateur (UE) au moyen d'une signalisation de couche supérieure (par exemple, RRC), pour configurer une surveillance de canal de commande de liaison descendante par l'UE. Ensuite, la station de base peut envoyer des informations de commande de liaison descendante à l'UE au moyen d'une signalisation L1, pour adapter la surveillance de PDCCH par l'UE 6. Les informations de commande de liaison descendante peuvent annuler ou modifier temporairement les paramètres d'une surveillance de PDCCH définis par des couches supérieures. Les informations de commande de liaison descendante peuvent être envoyées dans un message de commande de liaison descendante existant, ou dans un nouveau message de commande de liaison descendante.
