Abstract

A microfluidic particle sorting apparatus for capturing targets from fluid containing the targets is disclosed. The apparatus includes an inlet for receiving the fluid; a sorting chamber allowing the fluid to flow through; a first outlet for discharging the fluid after flowing through the sorting chamber; a capturing structure for capturing the cells, wherein the capturing structure is upstream of the first outlet, and includes obstacles in an array, each extending through the sorting chamber in a lateral direction with respect to a fluid flow of the fluid; and a second outlet upstream of the capturing structure comprising a plurality of openings; wherein a gap between two adjacent obstacles is equal to or greater than each opening of the second outlet.

L'invention concerne un appareil de tri de particules microfluidiques permettant de capturer des cibles à partir d'un fluide contenant lesdites cibles. L'appareil comprend une entrée pour recevoir le fluide; une chambre de tri permettant au fluide de s'écouler à travers ladite chambre; une première sortie pour évacuer le fluide après avoir traversé la chambre de tri; une structure de capture pour capturer les cellules, ladite structure de capture se trouvant en amont de la première sortie, et comprenant des obstacles en un réseau, s'étendant chacun à travers la chambre de tri dans une direction latérale par rapport à un écoulement du fluide; et une seconde sortie en amont de la structure de capture comprenant une pluralité d'ouvertures, l'espace entre deux obstacles adjacents étant égal ou supérieur à chaque ouverture de la seconde sortie.
