Disclosed is a method for allocating a load shedding amount, comprising the following steps: (1) proportionally allocating, without rounding, a total required shedding amount according to sheddable load amounts of load shedding sub-stations to obtain initial allocation amounts of the load shedding sub-stations, counting the sum of the initial allocation amounts of the load shedding sub-stations, i.e., the total initial allocation amount, and calculating a difference between the total required shedding amount and the total initial allocation amount, i.e., a remaining required shedding amount; (2) calculating allocation remainders of the load shedding sub-stations after the allocation of an initial allocation module; (3) sorting the allocation remainders according to a descending order; and (4) for the remaining required shedding amount, additionally allocating load shedding amounts to the load shedding sub-stations according to the order of descending allocation remainders until the total required shedding amount is equal to a total allocation amount. Also disclosed is a corresponding apparatus for allocating a load shedding amount. The solution of the present invention improves the accuracy of the allocation of a load shedding amount, and can effectively avoid overshedding or undershedding caused by rounding.
