Disclosed is a process for preparing pure and stable (E)-1-methoxy-4-(prop-1-en-1-yl)benzene from a corresponding (Z)-1-methoxy-4-(prop-1-en-1-yl)benzene, which comprises isomerizing (Z)-isomer in presence of a tertiary amine and a bisulfate salt as catalysts.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de (E)-1-méthoxy-4-(prop-1-én-1-yl)benzène pur et stable à partir d'un (Z)-1-méthoxy-4-(prop-1-én-1-yl)benzène correspondant, ledit procédé comprenant l'isomérisation du (Z)-isomère en présence d'une amine tertiaire et d'un sel de bisulfate servant de catalyseurs.
