A method may include: drawing a slip stream sample from a cooling fluid stream, the cooling fluid stream being fluidically coupled to an outlet of a heat exchanger and an inlet of a cooling tower; introducing the slip stream sample into an expansion chamber; and measuring a concentration of hydrogen gas within a headspace of the expansion chamber.

Un procédé peut comprendre : l'extraction d'un échantillon de flux d'écoulement à partir d'un flux de fluide de refroidissement, le flux de fluide de refroidissement étant en communication fluidique avec une sortie d'un échangeur de chaleur et une entrée d'une tour de refroidissement; l'introduction de l'échantillon de flux d'écoulement dans une chambre d'expansion; et la mesure d'une concentration de gaz d'hydrogène à l'intérieur d'un espace de tête de la chambre d'expansion.
