Abstract
(EN) A potentiometric cell capable of selectively measuring potassium comprising an ion-selective electrode composed between 1.5 and 2.4 mg of Valinomycin, between 0.4 and 0.6 mg of potassium Tetrakis (4-chlorophenyl) borate (KTFPB), between 52.48 and 78.72 mg of Poly(vinylchloride) (PVC), and between 103.52 and 155.28 mg of Bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate (DOS) dissolved in a carrier solvent such as 1 mL of THF (Tetrahydrofuran) in combination a especially adapted reference electrode. Such a cells exhibit improved precision in potassium ion determinations. Additionally, they exhibit high selectivity for potassium ions over other cations in a sample specimen such as whole blood or saliva. Further, these compositions exhibit these improved properties over a long period of time and therefore have greater shelf life.
(FR) L'invention concerne une cellule potentiométrique pouvant mesurer sélectivement le potassium qui comprend une électrode à sélectivité ionique qui contient entre 1,5 et 2,4 mg de valinomycine, entre 0,4 et 0,6 mg de tétrakis(4-chlorophényl)borate de potassium (KTFPB), entre 52,48 et 78,72 mg de poly(chlorure de vinyle) (PVC), et entre 103,52 et 155,28 mg de sébacate de bis(2-éthylhexyle) (DOS) dissous dans un solvant de support tel que 1 ml de THF (tétrahydrofurane) en combinaison avec une électrode de référence spécialement adaptée. De telles cellules présentent une précision accrue des déterminations d'ions potassium. De plus, elles présentent une sélectivité élevée pour les ions potassium par rapport à d'autres cations dans un échantillon tel que du sang total ou de la salive. En outre, ces compositions présentent ces propriétés améliorées sur une longue période de temps et ont donc une plus grande durée de conservation.
