The present invention also provides a container, a medicinal-solution-accommodating body, a reaction vessel, a distillation column, a filter unit, a reservoir tank, piping, and a method for producing a medicinal solution. This member comes into contact with a medicinal solution, the surface of the member being configured from stainless steel that contains chromium atoms and iron atoms. When the atom ratio of the chromium atoms to the iron atoms is measured up to a distance of 10 nm along the depth direction from the surface of the member, the maximum value of the atom ratio is exhibited at a distance of 3 nm or less in the depth direction from the surface of the member, the maximum value being 0.5-3.0, and the average surface roughness of the surface of the member being 10 nm or less.
