An intermediate shaft bearing device (10) is provided with: a ball bearing (1) including an inner ring (2) attached to an axle shaft (S), an outer ring (3) fixed to a housing (20), and balls (4) disposed between the inner ring (2) and the outer ring (3); and a slinger (6) which is fitted to the axle shaft (S) and forms a labyrinth gap (25) between the housing (20) and the slinger (6) to prevent foreign material from entering inside the ball bearing (1), wherein the housing (20) includes, in an area at the axially outer side of the slinger (6), a foreign material retention space (21) located radially outer side of an outer diameter side edge (26) of the labyrinth gap (25).

Dispositif de roulement d'arbre intermédiaire (10) pourvu : d'un roulement à billes (1) comprenant une bague intérieure (2) fixée à un arbre (S) d'essieu, une bague extérieure (3) fixée à un boîtier (20), et des billes (4) disposées entre la bague intérieure (2) et la bague extérieure (3) ; et d'une bague d'étanchéité (6) qui est montée sur l'arbre (S) d'essieu et forme un espace de labyrinthe (25) entre le boîtier (20) et la bague d'étanchéité (6) pour empêcher une matière étrangère d'entrer à l'intérieur du roulement à billes (1), le boîtier (20) comprenant, dans une zone au niveau du côté axialement extérieur de la bague d'étanchéité (6), un espace de retenue (21) de matière étrangère situé radialement à l'extérieur d'un bord latéral de diamètre extérieur (26) de l'espace de labyrinthe (25).
