This technology relates to a communication device and a communication method which make it possible to implement highly reliable and low-delay communication. Provided is a communication device which is a base station and is equipped with a control unit which performs control for generating redundancy information relating to redundancy of transmission data to be transmitted by a terminal station or the base station, and multiplexing information relating to multiplexing of the transmission data, and transmitting the generated redundancy information and multiplexing information to the terminal station. This technology is applicable, for example, to a wireless LAN system.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de communication et un procédé de communication qui rendent possible la mise en œuvre d'une communication hautement fiable et à faible retard. L'invention concerne un dispositif de communication qui est une station de base et est équipé d'une unité de commande qui réalise une commande pour générer des informations de redondance se rapportant à la redondance de données de transmission à transmettre par une station terminale ou la station de base, et des informations de multiplexage se rapportant au multiplexage des données de transmission, et transmettre les informations de redondance et les informations de multiplexage générées à la station terminale. La présente technologie est applicable, par exemple, à un système de LAN sans fil.
