The invention relates to a process of manufacture of a solid catalyst made of a support coated with a thin catalytic layer and to a process for eliminating gaseous and/or particulate pollutants in an exhaust gaz. The process of the invention of manufacture of a solid catalyst (1) comprising a support (2) coated with a catalytic layer (3) comprises the following steps: a) preparing a solution A by dissolving alkoxide and/or chloride precursors of at least one metal selected in the group consisting of Al, Si, Ti, Zr, Fe, Zn, Nb, V and Ce in a solvent S1 having a partition coefficient lower than 1 and containing less than 5% by volume of water, b) preparing a solution B containing a surfactant, an organic acid and/or hydrochloride acid (HC1) in a solvent S2 having a partition coefficient lower than 5, preferably less than 2, even more preferably less than 1., c) mixing solution A and solution B together, thereby obtaining a washcoat solution C, d) dip-coating the support (2) having OH groups at its surface into washcoat solution C, e) drying the coated support (2) obtained in step d), f) calcinating the dried coated support (2) obtained in step e). The process of the invention finds application in the field of elimination of VOC's, CO and/ or particulate pollutants in an exhaust gaz.

L'invention concerne un processus de fabrication d'un catalyseur solide constitué d'un support enrobé d'une couche catalytique mince et un processus d'élimination de polluants gazeux et/ou particulaires dans un gaz d'échappement. Le processus de l'invention de fabrication d'un catalyseur solide (1) comprenant un support (2) enrobé d'une couche catalytique (3) comprend les étapes suivantes : a) préparer une solution A par dissolution de précurseurs d'alcoxyde et/ou de chlorure d'au moins un métal choisi dans le groupe constitué par Al, Si, Ti, Zr, Fe, Zn, Nb, V et Ce dans un solvant S1 Ayant un coefficient de partage inférieur à 1 et contenant moins de 5% en volume d'eau, b) préparer une solution B contenant un tensioactif, un acide organique et/ou un acide chlorhydrique (HC1) dans un solvant S2 ayant un coefficient de partition inférieur à 5, de préférence inférieur à 2, de préférence encore inférieur à 1, c) mélanger la solution A et la solution B ensemble, ce qui permet d'obtenir une solution d'imprégnation C, d) enrober par immersion le support (2) ayant des groupes OH à sa surface dans la solution d'imprégnation C, e) sécher le support enrobé (2) obtenu à l'étape d), f) calciner le support revêtu séché (2) obtenu à l'étape e). Le processus de l'invention trouve une application dans le domaine de l'élimination des VOC's, du CO et/ou des particules dans un gaz d'échappement.
