Abstract

A charger adapted to charge either one of a first battery pack and a second battery pack. The first battery pack and the second battery pack have respectively a first interface and a second interface being substantially different from each other. The charger includes a housing having a receiving area in which the first battery pack and the second battery pack can be selectively received in such a way that the first battery pack is accommodated in a first region and the second battery pack is accommodated in a second region. The receiving area is at least partially defined by the first region partially overlapping the second region. The charger according to the invention is adapted to charge more than one type of battery pack, which saves cost and space needed for two separate chargers.

L'invention concerne un chargeur conçu pour charger soit un premier bloc-batterie, soit un second bloc-batterie. Les premier et second blocs-batteries présentent respectivement une première et une seconde interface qui sont sensiblement différentes l'une de l'autre. Le chargeur comprend un boîtier comportant une zone de réception dans laquelle les premier et second blocs-batteries peuvent être sélectivement reçus de telle sorte que le premier bloc-batterie est logé dans une première région et le second bloc-batterie est logé dans une seconde région. La zone de réception est au moins partiellement délimitée par la première région chevauchant partiellement la seconde région. Le chargeur selon l'invention est conçu pour charger plus d'un type de bloc-batterie, ce qui permet de réduire les coûts et l'espace nécessaires à deux chargeurs séparés.
