Abstract

Low hydroxyl value dibenzoate plasticizer for use in a reactive polyurethane composition, including but not limited to thermoplastic and thermoset polyurethanes, wherein the plasticizer is particularly useful in TPU's, a reactive polyurethane adhesive or sealant, or a castable polyurethane article and achieves comparable or improved properties, including without limitation compatibility, color, exudation, optical properties, MVTR, hardness, tensile strength, tear strength, rebound, compression set, and solvent swell, when compared with that achieved with traditional plasticizers, including other benzoate esters, used in polyurethane compositions.

La présente invention concerne un plastifiant dibenzoate à faible valeur d’hydroxyle pour l’utilisation dans une composition de polyuréthane réactif, comprenant sans être limitée des polyuréthanes thermoplastiques et thermodurcis, le plastifiant étant particulièrement utile dans les TPU, un adhésif ou un produit d’étanchéité de polyuréthane réactif, ou un article de polyuréthane pouvant être coulé et atteint des propriétés comparables ou améliorées, comprenant sans restriction des propriétés de compatibilité, de couleur, d’exudation, optiques, un MVTR, une dureté, une résistance à la traction, une résistance à l’usure, le rebond, la rémanence à la compression, et le gonflement au solvant, lorsque comparées à celles atteintes avec des plastifiants traditionnels, comprenant d’autres esters de benzoate, utilisés dans les compositions de polyuréthane.
