Abstract

Modifiers for use in vinyl flooring applications reduce or eliminate the need for traditional, general-purpose plasticizers in applications that require increased hardness or rigidity. High solvating, fast fusing modifiers, such as dibenzoates, added to LVT formulations provide unexpectedly increased flexural strength, hardness, indentation resistance and deflection not heretofore known or recognized in luxury vinyl tile formulations.

Les modificateurs destinés à être utilisés dans des applications de revêtements de sols en vinyle réduisent ou éliminent le besoin de plastifiants classiques à usage général dans des applications qui nécessitent une dureté ou une rigidité accrue. Les modificateurs à fusion rapide et à solvatation élevée, tels que des dibenzoates, ajoutés à des formulations de LVT fournissent des propriétés étonnamment élevées de résistance à la flexion, de dureté, de résistance à l'indentation et de fléchissement non connues ni reconnues jusqu'alors dans des formulations de carreaux en vinyle de luxe.
