Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for measuring suspended solids in wastewater, including: introducing an aqueous sample into a measurement system, comprising at least one length of tubing; pumping, using a pump, the aqueous sample through the at least one length of tubing; and measuring, using at least one optical sensor, a quantity of suspended solids in the aqueous sample wherein at least one optical sensor is coupled to the length of tubing in a position to measure the quantity of suspended solids while the aqueous sample is located in the at least one length of tubing.

Un mode de réalisation concerne un procédé de mesure de solides en suspension dans des eaux usées, comprenant les étapes consistant à : introduire un échantillon aqueux dans un système de mesure, comprenant au moins une longueur de tube ; pomper, à l'aide d'une pompe, l'échantillon aqueux à travers l'au moins une longueur de tube ; et mesurer, à l'aide d'au moins un capteur optique, une quantité de solides en suspension dans l'échantillon aqueux, au moins un capteur optique étant couplé à la longueur de tube à une position permettant de mesurer la quantité de solides en suspension pendant que l'échantillon aqueux se trouve dans l'au moins une longueur de tube.
