A robot is provided which includes a hub; an elbow joint; a wrist assembly; a first upper arm which is rotatably attached on a first end thereof to the hub, and which is attached on a second end thereof to the elbow joint; a first lower arm which is attached on a first end thereof to the elbow joint, and which is attached on a second end thereof to the wrist assembly; and a hard stop which extends over the elbow joint and a portion of the lower arm. The hard stop prevents the wrist assembly from contacting the hub when the motor of the robot is not engaged.

L'invention concerne un robot qui comprend un moyeu; une articulation de coude; un ensemble poignet; un premier bras supérieur qui est fixé de manière rotative, au niveau d'une première extrémité de celui-ci, au moyeu, et qui est fixé, au niveau d'une deuxième extrémité de celui-ci, à l'articulation de coude; un premier bras inférieur qui est fixé, au niveau d'une première extrémité de celui-ci, à l'articulation de coude, et qui est fixé, au niveau d'une deuxième extrémité de celui-ci, à l'ensemble poignet; et une butée dure qui s'étend sur l'articulation de coude et une partie du bras inférieur. La butée dure empêche l'ensemble poignet de venir en contact avec le moyeu lorsque le moteur du robot n'est pas en prise.
