Abstract

A system and process for direct printing onto textiles utilizes an aqueous ink having a non-aqueous dispersed liquid phase; a continuous aqueous phase; a thermal initiator; and a colorant. The continuous aqueous phase is comprised of water, a water miscible organic solvent, and a surfactant. The non-aqueous liquid phase, dispersed in the continuous aqueous phase, includes a prepolymer liquid wherein the state of the prepolymer liquid irreversibly changes from a liquid to a solid in response to irradiation of electron beams and/or application of heat.

L’invention concerne un système et un procédé d'impression directe sur des textiles au moyen d’une encre aqueuse ayant une phase liquide dispersée non aqueuse ; une phase aqueuse continue ; un initiateur thermique ; et un colorant. La phase aqueuse continue est constituée d'eau, d'un solvant organique miscible dans l'eau et d'un tensioactif. La phase liquide non aqueuse, dispersée dans la phase aqueuse continue, comprend un liquide prépolymère, l'état du liquide prépolymère changeant de manière irréversible d'un liquide à un solide en réponse à une exposition à des faisceaux d'électrons et/ou à l'application de chaleur.
