A cement composition comprising a hydraulic cement, water and a suspension agent comprising a polymer formed via emulsion polymerization, wherein the polymer has a weight average molecular weight of at least 600,000. The cement composition may be introduced into a wellbore to cement a casing in place within the wellbore. The cement composition is able to maintain consistency and thickness even at high temperatures above 350 °F.

L'invention concerne une composition de ciment comprenant un ciment hydraulique, de l'eau et un agent de suspension comprenant un polymère formé par l'intermédiaire d'une polymérisation en émulsion, le polymère ayant une masse moléculaire moyenne en poids d'au moins 600 000. La composition de ciment peut être introduite dans un puits de forage pour cimenter un tubage en place à l'intérieur du puits de forage. La composition de ciment permet de maintenir la consistance et l'épaisseur même à des températures élevées supérieures à 350 °F.
