Provided is a cyclic-carbonate-substituted propylcatechol having a structure represented by formula (1), wherein R1 and R2 are each independently a hydrogen atom or an organic group. R1 is preferably an organic group represented by formula (2), wherein n is an integer from 0 to 300. R2 is preferably an organic group represented by formula (3), wherein R3 is a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group or a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group, and n is an integer from 0 to 300.

L'invention concerne un propylcatéchol substitué par carbonate cyclique ayant une structure représentée par la formule (1), dans laquelle R1 et R2 représentent chacun indépendamment un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe organique. R1 est de préférence un groupe organique représenté par la formule (2), n étant un nombre entier de 0 à 300. R2 est de préférence un groupe organique représenté par la formule (3), dans laquelle R3 est un groupe hydrocarboné aliphatique divalent ou un groupe hydrocarboné aromatique divalent, et n est un nombre entier de 0 à 300.

式(1)で表される構造を有する環状カーボネート置換プロピルカテコールであり、RとRはそれぞれ独立に、水素原子又は有機基である。また、Rが式(2)で表される有機基であることが好ましく、nは0~300の整数である。さらにRが式(3)で表される有機基であることが好ましく、Rは2価の脂肪族炭化水素基又は2価の芳香族炭化水素基であり、nは0~300の整数である。
