Abstract:
(EN) This technology relates to an image processing device and an image processing method capable of generating high-quality 3D images while suppressing the amount of data. A generating device is provided with a generating unit that generates 3D shape data representing the 3D shape of a subject, mapping data obtained by two-dimensional mapping of texture information of the subject, and regional image data of specific regions of one or more images of the subject captured from one or more perspectives. This technology can be used, for instance, in an image processing system that displays viewer perspective images in which a 3D model is seen from a prescribed viewing position.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un dispositif de traitement d'image et un procédé de traitement d'image capables de générer des images 3D de haute qualité tout en supprimant la quantité de données. Un dispositif de génération est pourvu d'une unité de génération qui génère des données de forme 3D représentant la forme 3D d'un sujet, des données de mappage obtenues par mappage bidimensionnel d'informations de texture du sujet, et des données d'image régionales de régions spécifiques d'une ou de plusieurs images du sujet capturées à partir d'une ou de plusieurs perspectives. Cette technologie peut être utilisée, par exemple, dans un système de traitement d'image qui affiche des images de perspective d'un observateur dans lesquelles un modèle 3D est vu à partir d'une position de visualisation prescrite.
(JA) 本技術は、データ量を抑えつつ、高画質な3D画像を生成することができるようにする画像処理装置および画像処理方法に関する。 生成装置は、被写体の3D形状を表す3D形状データ、被写体のテクスチャ情報を2次元にマッピングしたマッピングデータ、および、1以上の視点位置から被写体を撮像した1以上の撮像画像の特定領域の領域画像データを生成する生成部を備える。本技術は、例えば、3Dモデルを所定の視聴位置から見た視聴視点画像を表示する画像処理システム等に適用できる。
