This device is provided with: a distribution information acquisition unit that, on the basis of an image taken of a plurality of cells being cultured in a predetermined region, acquires distribution information about the distribution of the plurality of cells in the predetermined region; and a determination unit that, on the basis of the distribution information acquired by the distribution information acquisition unit, determines a culture status of the plurality of cells.

Ce dispositif comprend : une unité d'acquisition d'informations de distribution qui, sur la base d'une image prise d'une pluralité de cellules cultivées dans une région prédéterminée, acquiert des informations de distribution concernant la distribution de la pluralité de cellules dans la région prédéterminée; et une unité de détermination qui, sur la base des informations de distribution acquises par l'unité d'acquisition d'informations de distribution, détermine un état de culture de la pluralité de cellules.
